Hosting and Knowledge' to our Jersey Tourism industry.
The name of the business ‘Cognito’ in broad terms means ‘Knowledge’, we are here to be seen!
The idea came out from the need by Tour operators and Travel companies in Jersey to provide their staff with accurate knowledge of Jersey’s history and Culture.
We welcome individuals to learn and appreciate Jersey wealth of 'Knowledge' to become 'Hosts' to our visitors .

Offers Hotel Hospitality Concierge, an escorted introduction to the island attractions by Blue Badge Guide Remi Couriard, discovering the sites, venues, that are on offer throughout this scenic Jersey.
Remi Couriard, an accredited Blue Badge Guide, plus an accredited trainer with the Institute of Tourist Guiding (London), with over 25 years of practical guiding experience.
Island Host’ – 2019-20.
For those who have an interest in Jersey rich diverse history, becoming ‘Host’ with proficiency, able to demonstrate the essence Jersey as a special island to explore, experience/visit.
This programme is a twelve-week course, each Wednesday evening of two hours duration.
Topics are presented by experts in their field revelling and understanding of how the Island’s history has evolved through Geology, Social structure, Religion, Politics, Trade and Commerce, Arts, throug the experiences of classical and contemporary writers who have contributed to The making of Jersey a special destination.
Our students come from varying back grounds, all wishing to complement and share their knowledge as a 'Host' for the Island,
